Ahhh... the Dead Sea.. This has got
to be on my list of top holiday destinations! Just imagine a 6 hour spa
session... THE SIZE OF THE OCEAN.. In hashtag speak...

#yourbodywillloveyouforit
I also heard it has a 5* hotel right beside it...

The Dead Sea, located in between Jordan and Israel in Asia, is one of the world's saltiest body of water. The salt obtained from the Dead Sea differs from that of normal salt due to its composition of minerals.
While salts obtained from most oceans
and seas, contain 97% sodium chloride, which is your average salt, salt
obtained from the Dead Sea contain only 30.4% sodium chloride, the rest
is a composition of magnesium, potassium, calcium and bromides.
How do these minerals
benefit the skin?
·
Sodium Chloride great exfoliator
and detoxifier which helps smooth skin.
·
Magnesium excellent in helping hydrate the skin
which in turn slows down the ageing process.
·
Potassium helps balance skin moisture.
·
Calcium helps boost new skin growth.
·
Bromides eases muscle stiffness.
So as you can see, Dead Sea Salt is
your skins best friend!
But as we can't all afford to travel
to visit the Dead Sea's magnificent spa, lets bring the next closest thing.. A
jar of Dead Sea body scrub! Throw all of the contents of this jar of salt into
your next bubble bath and you may as well be swimming in the Dead Sea!
Hallelujah? I am joking of course xD
Here we have Dead Sea Premier's
Body Scrub and Milk & Honey Aromatic Body Butter. I purchased this product
whilst on holiday in Malta from a local Dead Sea Premier chain. The 2 products
were purchased together in a deal for 59 euros, which was £50.86 at the
exchange rate at the time of purchasing.
I found out at a later date you can
get the same thing from eBay for £29, the moisturizer coming with a
pump applicator AND you get a free bag T__T My bargain hunting self was crying!
I definitely know where I am buying these products from next!
Let me take you through these two
products one at a time: So first up is the Dead Sea Premier Body Scrub.
As well as containing Dead Sea salt,
this product also contains 'a mixture of carefully selected aromatic oils'. The
oils are said to give your skin 'moisture, nourishment and a silky feeling'.
How to Apply
·
Once a week.
·
On dry skin, pick up a generous amount of sea salt and scrub it on your
skin in circular motions.
·
Wash off with warm water.
·
My general rule is wherever you can shave, you have to scrub! (i.e arms,
legs, bikini line)
·
The longer the time you spend doing this, the more your skin will love
you, as my saying goes, the more time you invest in things, the return will be
more great.
My Thoughts
The Sea Salt is a little hard to
scrub onto your skin due to it sliding about everywhere, but nevertheless, dead
sea salt scrub's work SHOWS. After using this product for 2 months, my skin
feels so much smoother than before! I have fewer lumps and bumps, fewer ingrown
hairs and my skin is left feeling nourished! I definitely will be repurchasing
this product! (online xD)

Next up is the Dead Sea Premier's
Milk & Honey Aromatic Body Butter
This product works hand in hand with
the Dead Sea Premier Body Scrub. It also comes in 2 other scents: Herbal and
Passion fruit.
My Thoughts
The scent is lovely and compliments
the smell of the body scrub perfectly. It does smell like milk and honey, but I
wouldn't class this as a sweet scent but more of a musky one. The sales lady
told me that this body butter was very rich, upon using it i found that it was
not. The body butter absorbed easily into my skin and the feeling after was
dry, even though I applied a generous amount of it on. What can I say, I have
very dry skin and this 'rich' moisturizer didn't cut the rope!
