YELLOW TEETH GLOW IN THE DARK

I am that black cat and my teeth are those shining yellow eyes! That person with the closed smile in photos- that's me! xD I hate my teeth! So I decided to try to fix up my teeth by using whitening strips. I have heard alot about them online and decided to give them a go. 

I bought my Crest 3D Whitestrips Professional Effects from ebay for £35.50 from a seller called healthycraband they are based in Ireland. Very fast delivery! Came in 2 days! The package came with just the white strips packages in a clear packet, no box to save on postage and delivery! smart!

Being from the UK, Crest products are banned from being sold here, due to the British Dental Association Laws, teeth cleaning products can only contain up to 0.1 hydrogen peroxide and Crest White Strips contain between 6-14%. 

How do they work?

In each pouch there is a strip for the lower and upper teeth. These are left on the teeth for 30 mins a day for 20 days. Apparently in 3 days you will see some result and the final full result after the 20 days. 

I am quite vary on trying them as I have sensitive teeth, but nevertheless lets dive in! (Excuse my wonky smile! XD)

How to Apply

It is advised NOT to brush your teeth before application to avoid gum irritation. 

·                Using a tissue, wipe your teeth dry

·                Peel the longer strip for your upper teeth and the shorter strip for your lower teeth and place them on aligning them with your gumline

·                Make sure the strip gets in between all the ridges of your teeth and press gently for good contact

·                Fold the excess strip back behind your teeth securing it safely

·                Wait for 30 minutes

·                Remove strips

 I realised after putting the strips on, I should have dried my teeth with a tissue, as the strips do slip a little from the moisture on your teeth.

 Tested the 'advanced seal technology no-slip' today and indeed it stays true to its word! The strip remained perfectly in place while I was drinking water.

 Bit of stinging sensation on my teeth while I had it on. 

Day 8
After having the strips on for 10 mins there was quite a sharp stinging sensation in my top canine teeth which felt quite uncomfortable :S

Skipped a day due to teeth sensitivity- (And I still have 12 days to go, defiantly not looking forward to this!)

A technique I picked up recently is while you are applying the strip to the bottom teeth, it is helpful to pull your bottom lip right out with your fingers when putting the strip on. It prevents your teeth from getting wet again after wiping them with a tissue.

At the end of the 20 days, I have a slightly brighter smile! Though not as a dramatically professional result I was hoping for, they are whiter nevertheless. However for the price of £35.50 I was hoping to achieve much better results. For one, none of my friends have noticed a thing! I think that home teeth whitening remedies look like they would achieve the same result for a fraction of the price! Time to bring out the baking soda!
